Here's the spiel, as found on App Store:
It's time for the Cocoa Bean Guardians to 'Mallow' out.
Take control of a troop of fearless marshmallow heroes as you set out to rescue your friends from the candy clutches of the nasty chocolate guardians. Traverse across strange wildernesses using each Marshies' special skill and show those chocolate chumps that you're not as soft as you look!
• SMASH MALLOWS
Whack each mallow with your trusty baseball bat and watch them fly gracefully (er…sometimes) through the air and smash into the sturdy chocolate forts. Many of the Marshie have special skills from giant Jello Marshies to slice-and-dicing ninja-mallows!
• MYSTICAL WORLDS
Your sweet adventure will take you across four vastly different environments from green rolling hills, to deep underground caverns. Each zone features 15 stages, watch as the challenge really ramps up!
• YOU SPILLED A BIT
Use the incredible in-game physics including splashing and sloshing chocolate milk, gusts of wind, gravity and the unique effect of super sticky jelly!
Best thing about Coco Loco in my opinion is the absolutely irrestibly cute Marshmallows! This game has the cutest characters ever and they're also conveniently square shaped, which meant making an iPhone case inspired by a marshmallow was a pleasantly smooth journey.
But why this game in particular to show my fan-ness? Because the founders of Twiitch were also my former colleagues when I was at Bluetongue Entertainment. Or more accurately, my former bosses. :) I don't know if they were directly involved in me getting hired but they sure didn't say No, so I'm eternally grateful. I've had many wonderful experiences at Bluetongue and learnt heaps of things that I wouldn't otherwise have had the chance to learn.
So when I set eyes on Coco Loco, the combination of wanting to show my support for Twiitch as well as the really cute characters inspired me to create this piece of fan-art:
Okay, I know its meant to be hot chocolate but I don't have anything to represent hot chocolate so Milo is the closest thing :p.
This was a really fun case to make, the hardest being the scarf, which I don't think I pulled off quite so well. Well it wasn't hard, just a lot of work! Maybe I should have just hunted around for a red and orange stripey fabric instead of trying to make it stripey.
Anyway, do check out the game if you've got an iPhone or iPad. And check out the Twiitch Facebook page too, they've uploaded some seriously awesome artwork on there!
