When I heard that Young Republic was collaborating with Soulheartist and Wong Fu Productions to support Habitat for Humanity, I was immediately keen to get involved with the project.
Soulheartist is a platform that connects artists, brands, charities and individuals around a cause. All parties are able to contribute what they have in hand and together all can gain mutual positive benefits while helping a worthy cause.
The current Soulheartist project is in collaboration with Wong Fu Productions and supports Habitat for Humanity to raise resources and awareness for its causes. Habitat for Humanity focuses on helping families and communities in poverty by engaging people to help build homes for people in need. So here's how it works:
If you would like to support this awesome cause, you can subscribe to this project. There are a few different subscription models, such as weekly payments of $6 for 13 weeks or an upfront subscription of $65. In return, you will get a Wong Fu Productions Soulheartist Pack as well as special access to exclusive members-only discounts from brand partners.
That's where Hooby Groovy comes in! I've partnered up with this project to offer a 35% discount on my range of Hooby Groovy designs that are available on my Young Republic shop. Once you've subscribed to the Wong Fu Project on Soulheartist, you'll receive a special discount code that will give you the 35% discount off your Hooby Groovy order at Young Republic.

Happy New Year! Thank you so much for a great 2013, it was an awesome year thanks to each and everyone of you for your support. :)

Swell Stitch Monster and I would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas! May your Christmas be filled with happiness, love and laughter. :)
Etsy Australia has opened a Christmas Pop Up Shop in Sydney for the next 15 days and I'm extremely honoured to have my Hooby Groovy cases be a part of it!
The shop features a collection of curated creations from various Etsy designers, so it'll be the perfect place to discover new labels and pick up some really unique Christmas gifts. There will also be various workshops and events running between November 28th and December 12th, you can find out about these and book your place here.
When Etsy Australia asked if I wanted to participate in their Christmas Pop-Up shop, I was really excited! I started Hooby Groovy on Etsy and I love the whole Etsy philosophy and community. Etsy designers and sellers are always inspiring me and motivating me to work hard so I really feel happy and proud to be included in an event like this and have my creations alongside all their awesome creative work.
I am a little sad though that I'm all the way over here in Melbourne and can't see the shop with my own eyes. So if you are in Sydney, please do drop by and check it out and say Hi to my Hooby Groovy creations! :)
It's almost Halloween and to celebrate, Hooby Groovy will be having a Halloween Sale!
From now until the 1st of November 2013, be sure to use the code "TrickOrTreat" when you check your order out and you'll get a 25% discount on your order. This code is valid at www.hoobygroovy.com and www.hoobygroovy.etsy.com.
Which Hooby Groovy creation are you going to use to dress up your device this Halloween? I usually rock my trusty Panda case for my iPad Mini, but I think I'm going to change it up this Halloween to a Brainz iPad Mini Case.
Have a wonderfully spooky Halloween and be sure to use the TrickOrTreat code for your Hooby Groovy order! :)
It's Hooby Groovy Giveaway Time!
Recently, I had a zombie accident at work. I was working on Shinobi the Zombie iPad Mini Cases and as soon as I laid the last completed one down, I realised I'd made a dire, dire mistake. I'd forgotten to sew on the band-aids that are on the back pocket of Shinobi!
And so now I have 4 Shinobi iPad Mini Cases that are missing their back pocket band-aids. :( I thought that I'd try to find them some owners who might still love them despite their band-aid-less bottoms.
So, without further ado, let's kick start the Four Week Shinobi iPad Mini Case Giveaway!
Each lucky winner receives 1 Shinobi iPad Mini Case, here's the front of Shinobi:
And here's the band-aid-less back:
It's still got its back pocket.
How the Giveaway works:
Every week for the next 4 weeks, I will be giving away 1 Shinobi iPad Mini Case. The Giveaway begins on Monday and a winner is chosen on Sunday night (Australian time).
So Week 1 of the Shinobi iPad Mini Case has commenced and will run until the 18th August.
How to Enter Week 1:
I'm feeling exceptionally silly for forgetting those band-aids, so I want to hear your silly mistakes too! Leave a comment below and tell me about a silly mistake that you've made! Did you forgot to take your keys out with you and now you're locked out of your house? Or have you ever put salt into your coffee instead of sugar?
There are no right or wrong answers, I just want to hear from you. :) At the end of the week, I'll randomly pick a winner.
If you've never made a silly mistake ever (for example if you are a robot ;p), you can still enter the giveaway, just tell me a little something about yourself. Your favourite colour, your favourite cartoon character, your favourite Hooby Groovy creation, anything at all! :)
Oh and make sure you Like the Hooby Groovy Facebook Page so you can keep an eye on the results of the giveaway which will be posted on this blog and Facebook.
So that's it, just leave a comment of a silly mistake you've made and see if you're the lucky winner at the end of this week. Good luck! :)
EDIT: The Week 1 Giveaway is now closed! I used a random number generator to pick the winner and the winner is...*drum roll*...Suzanne! Congrats Suzanne, you'll be getting an email from me very soon. Thanks to all who participated and stay tuned for another chance to win again in Week 2.
